Kanan Mehta Lecture Series

Ms. KananIshwar Mehta Memorial Lecture series has been instituted in the memory of Late Ms. KananIshwar Mehta. Ms. Kanan Mehta pursued her B. Pharm from Pharmacy Department. She passed her B. Pharm in 1980 with first position and was also awarded Shri B. V. Patel Memorial Gold Medal By IDMA. Ms. Kanan as a student was consistent enthusiastic performer with focused approach and creative ambitious mind to achieve her academic goals. After completion of the Bachelors pogramme she completed her PG studies in Pharmacology from L.M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad. Her inclination toward pharmacy and research took her to United States in 1985 to embark on a Ph.D program at the University of Florida. Unfortunately at a very young age she went for heavenly abode in 1989.

Ms. Hemal Mehta, cousin of Ms. Kanan Mehta initiated a lecture in fond memory of Ms. KananIshwar Mehta for the benefit of the undergraduate students. Pharmacy Department and MSU Pharmacy Alumni Association (MPA) have been organizing this annual lecture series. Eminent personalities of the pharmacy profession are invited to deliver the annual lecture.
